Former United player barred from dressing room amid expulsion fears in Argentina

Boca Juniors crisis deepens as Marcos Rojo clashes with manager Russo. Rojo banished from Boca dressing room after heated exchange with the coach.

Boca Juniors, winless since April, endure a torrid spell despite flashes of promise at the Club World Cup. The Xeneizes seek to arrest slump by barring three players from first-team dressing room.

Saracchi, Lema, and Marcos Rojo face ban as Boca Juniors boss Russo wields the axe. Reports suggest Russo is standing firm, a decision that could see the Argentinian side terminate Rojo’s contract.

The veteran defender, once a star at Manchester United, arrived at Boca in 2021 after a promising start at Old Trafford that yielded FA Cup, League Cup and Europa League honours.

However, a serious injury curtailed his progress, restricting him to a bit-part role, and at 35, his career is now heading towards a less competitive league.
