Bayern Munich have officially confirmed the signing of Colombian winger Luis Diaz from Liverpool in a deal worth £65.5 million.
The 28-year-old has put pen to paper on a four-year contract that will keep him at the Allianz Arena until the summer of 2029. Luis Diaz underwent his medical in Munich on Tuesday before finalising the formalities of the move.
Both clubs have now signed all the necessary documentation, bringing an end to a transfer saga that accelerated over the weekend following swift negotiations between the two sides.
The former Porto forward joins the Bundesliga champions after four seasons at Anfield, where he became a key figure.
Known for his explosive pace, technical flair and work ethic, Diaz is expected to slot straight into Vincent Kompany’s plans as Bayern look to reclaim domestic dominance and challenge in Europe.
The move represents one of the biggest signings of the summer and signals Bayern’s intent to reinforce their attacking options ahead of the new campaign.
