Inter Miami are still working hard to reach an agreement with Atletico Madrid for the transfer of Rodrigo de Paul after negotiations advanced on Friday, according to Fabrizio Romano.
A few days ago it was reported that Inter Miami were working on landing Atletico Madrid midfielder Rodrigo de Paul, whose contract with the ‘Colchoneros’ runs out in June 2026.
This summer transfer window is one of the last opportunities for the Madrid side to cash in on the Argentina international, as the club are not expected to offer him a new contract.
That is why the ‘Colchoneros’ are willing to let him leave this summer, and the 31-year-old midfielder would also be keen to try his luck in MLS where he would share a dressing room with his national team-mate Lionel Messi. In addition, he would also be under the orders of another Argentinian, Javier Mascherano.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Miami club hope to complete the deal for De Paul in the next few days after negotiations advanced on Friday.
