Manchester City have signed a new partnership with Puma worth at least £1 billion, extending their kit deal until 2035 and setting a new financial benchmark in Premier League sponsorships.
Manchester City have officially announced the signing of a new contract with Puma, worth at least £1 billion. The deal, which will run until at least 2035, represents the largest technical sponsorship deal in English football history.
The new tie-up significantly raises the club’s annual revenue in this area from £65m to £100m per season. The partnership between the two entities began in 2019 and since then the Pep Guardiola-led team has won four Premier League titles and a historic treble.
As reported by The Guardian, this contract surpasses the one signed by Manchester United with Adidas in 2023, valued at £900m for ten years. It is also higher, in annual terms, than Liverpool’s most recent deal with Adidas, estimated at £60 million per season.
Ferran Soriano, chief executive of City Football Group, said: “We joined forces with Puma with the ambition to challenge ourselves and go beyond the expectations. We have achieved this and more over the last six seasons”.
In addition to its commitment to Manchester City, Puma also has agreements with other City Football Group clubs, including Girona, Melbourne City, Bahia, Palermo and Mumbai City.
