PSG dominate UEFA’s post-season honours for the 2024/25 campaign, with Ousmane Dembele and Desire Doue emerging as the standout names.
Paris Saint-Germain uncorked the champagne in Munich as they lifted their first-ever Champions League trophy in a night to remember for the Parisian faithful on Saturday.
It was a journey marked by challenges in the earlier rounds, particularly against Liverpool in the last 16, Aston Villa in the quarter-finals, and moments of difficulty in the semi-finals against Arsenal.
However, PSG were dominant in the final. As the dust settled, UEFA announced its usual individual awards and revealed the competition’s best XI based on performances.
Ousmane Dembele was named the standout player of this year’s Champions League by UEFA, thanks to his impact and statistics throughout the tournament. He scored eight goals and provided six assists — two of them in the final — leading PSG to glory.
Dembele contributed with a goal or an assist in 10 of PSG’s 15 matches in the competition. Similarly, Desire Doue was selected as UEFA’s Best Young Player of the 2024/25 Champions League.
The Frenchman edged out Lamine Yamal, one of the leading contenders for the award, though PSG’s triumph overshadowed the rest. Doue, who was also named Man of the Match in the final, concluded his Champions League campaign with five goals and three assists, including two goals and an assist in his side’s 5-0 demolition of Inter Milan.

Lamine Yamal may have missed out on UEFA’s two major individual awards, but he secured a spot in the team of the season. Alongside Raphinha, they represent Barcelona, semi-finalists in the competition. Arsenal’s Declan Rice also features, while Inter Milan’s finalist side is represented solely by Bastoni in central defence.
