According to reports from Florian Plettenberg, Borussia Dortmund have reached a verbal agreement with 21-year-old left-back Renato Veiga, as they try to finalise a loan deal with Chelsea.
Borussia Dortmund have made significant progress in their pursuit of Chelsea defender Renato Veiga. The 21-year-old Portuguese left-back is reportedly keen on the move to the Bundesliga side.
Dortmund are now pushing to secure Veiga’s signature on a loan deal with an option to buy. Veiga, who joined Chelsea in 2024 for €14 million, has struggled for regular playing time at Stamford Bridge.
His versatility, capable of playing in central defence and midfield, makes him an attractive prospect for Dortmund. “Veiga’s adaptability could be a valuable asset for our squad,” a Dortmund source commented.
The German club are now in talks with Chelsea to finalise the terms of the transfer. If successful, this move could provide Veiga with the opportunity for more first-team football.
