Arsenal Odegaard makes progress but North London derby remains uncertain

Martin Odegaard has given a cautiously optimistic update on his knee injury, leaving Arsenal awaiting clarity ahead of their crucial north London derby against Tottenham.

Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard has addressed concerns regarding his recent knee injury, which has sidelined him for seven matches in all competitions.

After overcoming two shoulder injuries earlier in the season and impressing against Olympiacos in early October, the Norwegian’s setback came swiftly against West Ham during Arsenal’s next fixture.

With the Premier League leaders set to face Tottenham on Sunday, Odegaard’s fitness remains a significant talking point amid mounting title pressure. Odegaard spoke to TV2 following Norway’s victory over Italy and offered a positive assessment of his recovery.

“It’s moving forward. The match today came a little too early… But it’s starting to look better, so hopefully I’ll be back soon,” he explained. The midfielder’s resilience has been evident throughout a season punctuated by recurrent injuries.
