The midfielder is carrying a physical discomfort caused in the final of the EFL Cup against Newcastle. For this reason, Ronald Koeman and his coaching staff have decided not to force the player in this international window.
Ryan Gravenberch has worked with his teammates in the current training camp, but has not found good sensations in the muscular level. Thus, he will return to Liverpool to treat the ailment.
Despite this, Ronald Koeman has notable variants in midfield. Frenkie de Jong leads a list that also includes Tijjani Reijnders, Teun Koopmeiners, Jerdy Schouten or Kenneth Taylor.
Hours later, Liverpool also issued a statement announcing that Gravenberch was returning to England. “Ryan Gravenberch has departed the Netherlands camp and will not be involved in their fixtures this week. He will be assessed upon his return to Merseyside, with the Reds back in action when they host Everton in the Premier League on April 2nd”.
