Premier League links drive Barcelona transfer plans with Gordon and Kounde in focus

Barcelona are already mapping out their summer strategy, with the Premier League expected to play a central role in both arrivals and departures.

With La Liga all but secured and a decisive Clasico against Real Madrid looming, the club are turning their attention towards strengthening a squad aimed at mounting a serious challenge in the Champions League next season.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Anthony Gordon has emerged as a potential attacking option. The Newcastle United winger is admired for his versatility and intensity, offering a different profile to other targets such as Julian Alvarez.

However, any move would be complicated by Newcastle’s valuation, with the English club reportedly demanding €80-85 million. Barcelona would need to negotiate that figure down significantly to make a deal viable.

Kounde attracts Premier League interest

On the outgoing side, Jules Kounde is attracting strong interest from England. A key figure under Hansi Flick and one of the most consistent performers in defence, the Frenchman is not actively on the market but could be considered if a major offer arrives.

Reports from Daily Mail suggest Liverpool are keen to strengthen at the back and would be prepared to table a bid of around €80 million.

Such a proposal would force Barcelona into a difficult decision. While Kounde is regarded as a cornerstone of the defence, a significant sale could ease financial pressure and fund reinforcements elsewhere.

As Barcelona shape their plans for the new season, the influence of the Premier League market looks set to be decisive, both in terms of potential signings and high-profile departures.
