Nahuel Molina discussed his future and upcoming Champions League clash against Inter Milan, reaffirming his contentment at Atletico Madrid.
Nahuel Molina spoke to the press ahead of Atletico Madrid’s Champions League Group Stage matchday five fixture against Inter Milan. The Argentina international is expected to start due to Marcos Llorente’s confirmed absence.
Molina acknowledged the impact of Llorente’s injury, stating: “Marcos’ injury is a significant loss for the team. If I get the chance, I’ll be as eager as ever to try and help and do my job as best as possible.”
Regarding his potential starting role, the full-back emphasised the team’s priority: “It’s an important match for the team. What happens with me is secondary. Tomorrow is a difficult match. If it’s my turn, I’ll be ready to help the team.”
Addressing speculation about his future, Molina stated: “It’s nice to be linked with other clubs, but I’m very happy here at the club, I’m very content. I have nothing to say about that.”
Discussing their opponents, Inter Milan, Molina commented: “They are coming off a derby defeat, but they are a very difficult team. I expect a great match for us with our fans behind us. I hope we can put in a great performance.”
Molina concluded by expressing his appreciation for the manager’s trust and highlighting the team’s collective readiness: “I’m happy with the manager’s support, and not just from him, but from my teammates too. You always have to be prepared, not just when a teammate gets injured. The manager demands a lot every day, not just from me, but from all my teammates.”
