Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has insisted he “loved” the heated exchange between teammates Oleksandr Zinchenko and Ben White at the end of Tuesday’s 2-1 win at Nottingham Forest.
Arsenal claimed three key points in a hard-fought victory over Nottingham Forest at the City Ground to move second in the Premier League table, two points behind leaders Liverpool.
The Gunners dominated the first half but failed to break the deadlock until after the break, when Gabriel Jesus scored the opener. It looked like Arteta’s side had wrapped up the victory when Saka doubled the lead for the Londoners but after a defensive mix-up by the Gunners’ defence, Awonity pulled one back.
Eventually that Tricky Trees goal did not cost Arsenal a slip up but it seemed Ben White was not happy that Zinchenko and Saliba thought the game was secured and were less decisive. The England full-back had a heated exchange with the Ukrainian full-back at the end of the game and manager Mikel Arteta was asked about it. Take a look at what he had to say.
