According to several media outlets, including ‘Record’ and ‘Sky Sports’, Manuel Ugarte sees himself going to Chelsea, instead of PSG who are also trying to get him.
Chelsea have already got negotiations underway to try and sign Manuel Ugarte as quickly as possible. ‘Sky Sports’ have claimed that the Uruguyan international, who is also being followed by PSG, wants to join the London club, and that all parties want to close the deal by the end of the week.
After recently being installed at the head of Chelsea, Mauricio Pochettino is thought to have told his new board that he wants Ugarte under his reign next season, whatever it takes.
This move should therefore be closed for around €65 million, which is a bit more than the young midfielder’s €60 million release clause.
The defensive midfielder has had a good season at current side Sporting Lisbon, player 47 in total and helping his club get to fourth in the Portuguese top flight.
