Sergio Gomez is back in Spain. The Spanish full-back leaves Manchester City and signs for Real Sociedad, who have signed him for the next six seasons, until June 2030.

Sergio Gomez leaves Manchester City for good and heads to Spain, where he will play for a team with a promising future, where he will get more playing time and play in European competition.

The English side and Real Sociedad have reached an agreement for the transfer of the Spanish international, who will play in the Olympic Games from the end of July.

Sergio Gomez returns to Spain after playing for Borussia Dortmund, Anderlecht and Manchester City, where he spent two seasons. He also spent two years on loan at Huesca.

“I’m very excited and I’m looking forward to working hard to help the team and the club to achieve our objectives. I’ve always liked Real and Imanol’s way of playing, so I’m very happy to be here. I want to continue maturing and progressing as a player”, said the player.

Sergio Gomez will have an important role in the team from the moment he wears the shirt: “Wearing David Silva’s ’21’ at Manchester City was a privilege for me, he’s a player I’ve always liked since I was a kid and coming to the team he was in is another incentive”.
