According to ‘Marca’, Kylian Mbappe’s agents and various members of the PSG hierarchy will meet on Friday to try and find a solution. In the case that the parties can’t come to an agreement, Real Madrid will make their move.
The Mbappe-PSG saga takes another turn of events. On this occasion, ‘Marca’ has revealed that the Frenchman’s representatives, with his mother Fayza Lamari at the head, will hold a meeting this Friday with PSG officials to try and progress the situation.
It all went pear-shaped when the player sent a letter to the club communicating that he did not intend to renew until 2025, which led the French side to send him an ultimatum: either he extends his contract or he would be sold this summer.
Relations between the parties have cooled and everything will depend on what happens at the meeting. The same outlet pointed out that Madrid will be very attentive to what happens, as they plan to make their move if they break ties definitively.
Right now, the situation is one of total uncertainty. The Madrid-based newspaper indicates that nothing is off the table. It is likely that PSG will present him with an offer to renew – for 2 or 3 more years – but with a verbal agreement to be sold in the summer of 2024.
What this means essentially is that Mbappe would get to play another year at PSG, as he has expressed he wants to, but the club won’t lose him for free next summer, which is their worst-case scenario given they dropped €180 million to sign the Frenchman.
Madrid is prepared for any eventuality. If they don’t get Mbappe next year as a free agent (they would pay only the signing bonus), ‘Los Merengues’ know that they will have to pay at least 200 million euros to sign him.

Either Mbappé extends, or PSG will ask him to leave.
One option could be PSG offer a two-year extension to Mbappé and promise he can leave in 2024.
