In a charity match organised by the Bavarian club, Bayern Munich and Chelsea legends will clash at Stamford Bridge on Saturday. Some of the biggest names in football will be present, including Petr Cech, John Terry, Michael Essien, Claudio Pizarro and Daniel Van Buyten.
They have left their mark on their era, won multiple Champions Leagues, and are meeting again on Saturday for a good cause. A host of Bayern Munich and Chelsea legends will clash in a charity match at London’s Stamford Bridge stadium on Saturday (20:15 GMT+2).
The main reason for organising this event is the recent death of former Blues player and coach Gianluca Vialli from cancer. All proceeds from the match will be donated to the Chelsea Foundation and The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
A large number of players from different eras, but mainly from the early 2000s, will be present. Chelsea’s iconic goalkeeper Petr Cech will be there, along with John Terry, Gianfranco Zola, Michael Essien and Frenchmen Florent Malouda, Claude Makelele and William Gallas.
