According to ‘The Athletic’, Manchester United have agreed a deal with Chelsea to sign Mason Mount in this transfer window. The Red Devils will pay £55m plus £5m in add-ons for his transfer.
Manchester United have been trying to sign Mason Mount by all means. The Red Devils submitted three bids and all of them were rejected. But they want the Englishman in their squad at all costs.
As a result, they tabled an improved fourth bid of 60 million pounds – an initial fee of £55 million plus £5 million in add-ons – on Thursday and the Blues have finally accepted their new offer, according to ‘The Athletic’.
Moreover, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Mount will play in a Manchester United shirt for five seasons, i.e. until 2028. The medical tests will take place from next week.
The race for his transfer has been relentless for Erik ten Hag’s side. But now they will be counting on Mount, who has played ten seasons for Chelsea during his professional career.
