Real Madrid trained on Thursday morning with the La Liga meeting against Athletic in mind. Carlo Ancelotti brought back the 14 internationals who left the Valdebebas training complex during the international break, but three of them trained separately from the group.

Real Madrid completed the third training session of the week on Thursday in preparation for the La Liga match against Athletic Club. Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti brought back all 14 internationals who had been called up by their national teams.

Dani Carvajal and Joselu (Spain), Brahim Diaz (Morocco), Antonio Rudiger and Toni Kroos (Germany), Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni (France), Jude Bellingham (England), Luka Modric (Croatia), Arda Guler (Turkey), Fede Valverde (Uruguay), Andriy Lunin (Ukraine), Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo Goes (Brazil) are already working at the Valdebebas training complex.

However, Camavinga, who is suffering from a very slight sprain to his left ankle, Valverde and Bellingham worked out on the sidelines, following the recovery plan before training with the rest of their teammates on Friday.

Vinicius Junior did work with the group, despite the fact that he will not be able to play against Athletic as he is suspended after picking up his fifth yellow card in the last game against Osasuna.

Meanwhile, Dani Ceballos worked with the group, overcoming the muscle strain he has been carrying since 15th March and is likely to be in a squad that will not include Thibaut CourtoisDavid Alaba and Eder Militao due to knee injuries.

The Brazilian is the closest to returning but, according to ‘EFE’, he is still far from his ideal form as he has not played a game since 12 August and the plan is that, when he trains regularly with the group, he will be included in the squad to make his return to the team.
