Kiwior has been linked with an exit from Arsenal after struggling to cement a place in the side since his arrival from Spezia 18 months ago.
The Poland international has started just 18 league games for the Gunners and has seen competition for a first-team place increase this summer, following the arrival of Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna and Jurrien Timber’s return from an ACL injury.
Bologna had made an enquiry to sign the 24-year-old on loan as a potential replacement for Calafiori, while there has also been interest from Spanish side Villarreal for Kiwior, who can operate centrally or at left-back.
However, Polish journalist Tomasz Włodarczyk has revealed that Arsenal have informed Kiwior’s camp that he is not for sale, ending hopes of a transfer before the deadline for deals later this week.
Kiwior was not included in the squad for the Premier League’s opening weekend before being an unused substitute during the 2-0 win at Aston Villa on Saturday.
However, Mikel Arteta wants to keep the defender among his options as Arsenal look to compete on all fronts in 2024/25. The North London side have made a perfect start to their Premier League campaign and will learn their opponents for the Champions League’s new-look league phase on Thursday.
