Vinicius, who scored a brace for Real Madrid against Bayern Munich, spoke to the microphones of ‘Movistar Liga de Campeones’ and assured that they now face a “magical night” at the Santiago Bernabeu to reach the final.
Brazilian Vinicius, named player of the match in the first leg of the semi-final against Bayern Munich (2-2) after his brace, called for a “magical night” in the return leg at the Santiago Bernabeu to qualify for the Champions League final.
“We always want to win, but that’s the way this competition is. Both teams have a lot of quality and can score their chances. We have to keep our heads calm, rest until next week when we know that the fans and ourselves are going to give everything to leave the Bernabeu qualified for London,” he said on ‘Movistar Liga de Campeones’.
Vini praised the play of his team-mate Toni Kroos, who provided the assist for the first goal, and was confident ahead of the second leg. “Toni always makes things very easy and he gave me a goal. I’m also very happy with the defensive work; if we continue like this we can win at home,” he said.
“We trained together for many years and I already know him very well. And he knows me. I’m very happy to be able to score two goals. Now it’s time for a magical night at home,” he added.
The Brazilian also praised the late equaliser. “In this competition it’s important not to lose and that’s why we’re here. We have to keep going to do great things and take Madrid to where they deserve to be, which is in the final”, he concluded.
