Crystal Palace made official on Monday the arrival of Oliver Glasner as their new manager and replacement for Roy Hodgson. The Austrian manager has signed until 30 June 2026 and will be present at Goodison Park to watch his side take on Everton.

Crystal Palace announced on Monday the signing of former Eintracht Frankfurt boss Oliver Glasner as manager to replace Roy Hodgson, who resigned on Monday after a year at the club, which he saved from relegation last season.

The 76-year-old Englishman was admitted to hospital last week after feeling ill during a training session and resigned on Monday. Glasner spent the last two seasons in charge of Eintracht Frankfurtwinning the Europa League in his first season and leading them to the Champions League and the DFB Pokal final in his second, before leaving the club despite still having a year left on his contract due to poor results in the second half of the campaign.

“I am very happy to join Crystal Palace F.C. as manager. I am looking forward to working with the talented squad, meeting the club’s supporters and experiencing the Selhurst Park atmosphere I have heard so much about. It has been a pleasure to meet with Steve and Dougie, and I am looking forward to working with them to achieve our goals.”

Glasner, although his appointment was not yet official, attended Tottenham’s game against Wolves in London last weekend as a way of preparing for Crystal Palace’s upcoming clash with Spurs.

Crystal Palace are currently 15th in the table with 24 points, five above the relegation places. ‘The Eagles’ will face Everton at Goodison Park on Monday to close the 25th round of the Premier League.
