The 19-year-old midfielder Marcelo Flores is set to leave Arsenal and join Mexican side Tigres on a permanent deal, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Flores is ready to travel to pass his medical with Siboldi’s team and will sign a four-year contract.

The Mexican starlet failed to make his breakthrough in Arsenal’s youth academy and never made his first-team debut, so he will be looking for a more important role outside of European football.

Last season the Gunners player played on loan at Oviedo, where he only made 15 appearances, eight as a starter. This season he has played four games for Arsenal U-21, none as a starter.
