Barcelona have completed one of the biggest deals of the summer in the final hours of the transfer window. Portuguese striker Joao Felix will strengthen the Catalan giants’ attack on loan, the La Liga club announced on Friday. He will play for Xavi Hernandez until July 2024 after renewing his contract with Atletico until 2029.

The 23-year-old already expressed his desire to play in a Barcelona shirt several months ago: “I’d love to play for Barcelona. They have always been my first choice. It’s been my dream since I was a kid. If this happened, my dream would come true,” he said.
