Vinicius, who was injured in the La Liga match between Celta Vigo and Real Madrid, shared a black-and-white photograph on social media without text. He will undergo an MRI scan later on Monday, which will provide more details about his injury. Some media are already speculating that he could be out for a month and a half.

Vinicius, following his injury in the first half of Real Madrid’s La Liga match against Celta Vigo, shared a black and white image of himself, accompanied by the ‘Merengues’ medical staff at Balaidos, on his Instagram profile. 

Several of his teammates such as Rodrygo, Fede Valverde, Camavinga, Militao, Bellingham and Fran García commented on his post to send him messages of encouragement and affection, as did his compatriot Neymar. 

He would miss the derby against Atletico on the 24th and would arrive just in time for El Clasico against Barcelona on 29th October. These are the most important fixtures facing Carlo Ancelotti’s side over the next eight weeks, when they will also face Getafe, Real Sociedad, Las Palmas, Girona, Osasuna and Sevilla before the final stretch of the year.

The injury to Vinicius joins those to Eder Militao, Thibaut Courtois, Arda Güler, Dani Ceballos and Ferland Mendy and endorses the Real Madrid coach’s complaints about the overload of games.
