Manchester City are on the verge of closing Bernardo Silva’s renewal. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Portuguese playmaker will reportedly renew his contract until 2026 after reaching a pre-agreement.
Bernardo Silva will continue his career at Manchester City. The Portuguese has reportedly reached a pre-agreement to renew his current contract despite rumours of a move to Barcelona.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the 29-year-old will renew his contract for three more seasons and both parties will complete the deal in the coming weeks.
Silva wants to stay at the Etihad Stadium until 2026 as Barcelona’s financial problems have prevented him from changing his destination for next season. The midfielder is tired of waiting for an official offer from the Catalan club.
The Manchester club refused to negotiate for his No. 20. Meanwhile, he will not play against Sevilla in the European Super Cup. Silva is still preparing for the next campaign, which is likely to be in England.
