Chelsea announced on Wednesday the renewal of Levi Colwill. After a successful loan spell at Brighton, the promising 20-year-old English centre-back is committed to the Blues until 2029 with the option to extend for a further season.
Chelsea continue to look to the future. In the long term, the Blues do not want to let Levi Colwill go, who has signed a contract that ties him to Stamford Bridge for the next 6 seasons plus 1 extendable season.
This was made official on Wednesday by the English club during their pre-season stay in the United States. This way, Mauricio Pochettino guarantees the left side of the defence with the centre-back who was on loan at Brighton last season.
After his outstanding performance at the U21 European Championship with England, Levi Colwill is set to play an important role at Chelsea. He will not be playing in European competition, something the club where he was on loan will boast.
With Axel Disasi close to being signed, the Londoners are strengthening their defence. That should be the basis for the Argentinian coach to fight for a return to the top of the Premier League.
