According to ‘The Sun’, Mason Greenwood has told his pals he wants to stay at Manchester United because he has “learned so much” at the English club. The board are expected to make a decision on his future this month.
Mason Greenwood’s future at Manchester United is uncertain. The Englishman was suspended in January 2022 for alleged rape, abuse and coercive behaviour towards his current girlfriend.
Both Erik ten Hag and the board are considering giving him a second chance to rebuild his life but selling him in the summer transfer window is also an option. According to several reports in England, they will make a decision on his future this month.
‘The Sun’ reports that the English striker is “desperate” to stay at Old Trafford because he has learned so much at the Manchester outfit. A conversation between the 21-year-old and a member of his inner circle has been leaked by the English media.
“He’s being encouraged to speak publicly and to have his voice heard. But, privately, he has told those close to him that he has learned a huge amount. He became a father for the first time earlier this month and realises he has to grow up. He is grateful to Adidas – to have a sponsor like that in his corner means the world.”
