Ahead of Manchester United’s first pre-season friendly on Wednesday, the club have released the 26-player squad that will travel to Norway to face Leeds. The group includes new signing Mason Mount, but Harry Maguire is nowhere to be seen.
Man United travel to Norway, ahead of their pre-season friendly against Leeds United on July 12th which is their first fixture ahead of the 2023-24 campaign.
Manager Erik ten Hag has named the 26-player squad he is taking with him, which includes experienced players like Raphael Varane, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Jadon Sancho, as well as several younger players who will be hoping to get pre-season minutes to impress the boss.
New star signing Mason Mount also appears on the squad list, in line to make his first appearance as a Red Devil, and the new ‘7’ is joined by Lisandro Martinez, who has been deemed fit to play after recovering from a foot operation.
Veteran Harry Maguire will not be travelling with the group, as although uncertainty still surrounds his future under Ten Hag, the English international has been granted extra days off after he was called up earlier this summer for Euro 2024 qualifiers.
