Chelsea won’t give an inch as reports say they have rejected another bid from Inter Milan for Belgian striker, Romelu Lukaku. There is interest from other Italian clubs, and Saudi Arabia, but the ‘Nerazzurri’ are still the Belgian’s top choice for a move.
Chelsea have rejected the latest bid for Romelu Lukaku from Serie A side, Inter Milan, according to ‘The Athletic’. The Blues are holding out for a fee around €45 million for the Belgian, which Inter are struggling to meet.
They are not the only interested party however, which the same outlet reporting that Juventus and Saudi team, Al Hilal, are also after the striker, if the Champions League runners-up can’t meet Chelsea’s demands.
Part of the reason Chelsea aren’t willing to cede an inch on this fee, may be that it’s some way off the €114 million they paid the ‘Nerazzurri’ for the Belgian in 2021, before returning him on loan for 2022-23.
New manager Mauricio Pochettino said he had spoken with Lukaku in his first press conference with the Blues, as he expects if the striker “is still a Chelsea player“. The Belgian is reportedly still holding out for a return to Inter, but it remains to be seen if they can raise the funds for his move.
