Skriniar has signed a five-year deal with PSG

Milan Skriniar finally joined Paris Saint-Germain as a free agent from Inter Milan this summer, despite being expected to arrive last winter. The Slovakian has signed until 2028.

It was one of the big deals of the winter transfer window, but it finally came to an end this summer. Inter defender Milan Skriniar has signed for Paris Saint-Germain on a five-year deal following the end of his contract with the Italian club.

The Slovakian was pushing for a move to Paris this winter, but in the end had to wait several months, after a second half of the season that saw him struggle with a number of back injuries, before he was able to wear the PSG shirt.

The central defender, officially presented on Thursday 6th July, took advantage of the end of the season to announce his arrival in Paris at the beginning of June: “I’ve been training with Inter for the last three weeks, so I am ready and determined. We’ll see what happens in Paris, the important thing is that I stay fit,” he said.

“Paris Saint-Germain are delighted to announce that Milan Skriniar has signed a five-year deal with the club. The Slovak defender’s contract runs until 30th June 2028,” reads the club’s statement.

After six seasons with Inter and 238 games played, the 27-year-old has won the Serie A title in 2021, three Italian Super Cups and three Italian Cups.
