Fiorentina chief executive Giuseppe Barone said Manchester United have not yet submitted an initial offer for Sofyan Amrabat but that the board are willing to listen to offers for him.
According to several reports in England, Sofyan Amrabat has reached a verbal agreement with Manchester United to join in the summer transfer window. His agent has already confirmed that he would like to play in the Premier League.
The Moroccan international stood out with his performances at the World Cup in Qatar and has been in the spotlight ever since. Several top clubs such as Barcelona, Tottenham Hotspur and Atletico Madrid, among others, have turned their attention to him.
However, Amrabat is most likely to join the Red Devils to play in a Manchester United shirt next campaign. The midfielder is well-liked by Erik ten Hag and the board.
Nevertheless, Fiorentina chief executive Giuseppe Barone said in an interview that the English side have not yet submitted an opening bid for the 26-year-old’s transfer.
“We have not received any bid or proposal for him at all. He’s a Fiorentina player now. If an offer comes, we will consider it,” he told reporters.
