Real Madrid will wait to sign Kylian Mbappe. Paris Saint-Germain want to sell him this summer if the Frenchman does not extend his deal but the Spanish side will try to wait until January 2024 to sign him as a free agent.
Kylian Mbappe and Real Madrid are destined to be together. The striker renewed his contract with Paris Saint-Germain despite the Spanish giants’ interest, but everything could change in 2024.
Recent reports have claimed that the Frenchman could join Madrid this summer transfer window but ‘Los Blancos’ are in no rush to sign him.
The French side want to sell the striker as soon as possible if he decides not to extend his contract before the end of the 2023 transfer window. However, Mbappe has already made it clear that he does not intend to renew his contract.
The 24-year-old wants to continue playing at the Parc des Princes until his contract expires next season. He could leave this summer if PSG pay him €150 million of his clause. Otherwise, he will stay.
Real Madrid in no hurry
The Spanish side are not willing to pay a huge amount of money for Mbappe in the summer as he could join as a free agent from January 2024.
As a result, Real Madrid will go for him when they do not have to negotiate with Paris Saint-Germain.
The club has set a date, January 1 from which they will start thinking about seeing Mbappé at the Bernabéu. Real Madrid are still firm and confirm that there will be no movement in the coming weeks.
