According to ‘Le Parisien’, Luis Enrique is finalising the details of his contract with PSG, as he prepares to take over from Christophe Galtier as manager of the French giants. The outgoing manager is also have the final details fixed before the announcement.
The official dismissal of Christophe Galtier has been a while coming. PSG have been waiting to find a replacement before announcing it and it looks like that moment is close at hand.
According to ‘Le Parisien’, PSG have landed on Luis Enrique to take over, and the outlet reports that he is days away from being announced. The French paper published on Sunday that only details remain to put an end to Galtier’s ties with the club, and it appears he will indeed receive the €6 million payout that was reported a few weeks ago.
The outlet also writes that Enrique’s contract will be at least two seasons, maybe with the third as an option to extend. The Spaniard has been without a coaching job since leaving his country’s national team after failing to make it past the last-16 of the Qatar World Cup.
Although Galtier brought his side another Ligue 1 title, they limped over the finish line, and have crashed out of the Champions League the last two seasons at the last-16. PSG are yet to make the announcement officially, but Leandro Paredes let the appointment of the new coach slip in an interview, further adding fuel to the fire about the change.
