Arsenal have started work on their squad for next season and have put 12 players up for sale. Important players such as Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey are on sale.
After losing the Premier League at the hands of Manchester City, Arsenal have begun work on putting together a squad for next season, where the Gunners will once again play in the UEFA Champions League.
Indeed, after the last game against Nottingham Forest, Mikel Arteta gave a press conference and made it clear that the London outfit will have plenty of movement in the upcoming transfer window.
“To move to the next level, this will be a crucial summer for us,” the Spanish coach acknowledged, implying that the sporting management will be working hard on possible signings for the upcoming 2023-24 season.
In order to bring in new players, Arsenal will also be looking to release a number of players in order to generate revenue to enable them to bid for major transfers.
In that sense, ‘Mundo Deportivo’ reported that the English side have decided to put 12 players up for sale. The first team players who are likely to leave are: Granit Xhaka, Thomas Partey, Kieran Tierney, Emile Smith Rowe, Rob Holding and Reiss Nelson.
Nicolas Pepe (Nice), Albert Sambi Lokonga (Crystal Palace), Pablo Mari (Monza), Ainsley Maitland-Niles (Southampton), Charlie Patino (Blackpool) and Folarin Balogun (Stade de Reims) are also close to leaving the club.
