Gabriel Magalhaes has been nominated along with 8 other players for Premier League player of the month for September.
Gabriel Magalhaes’ form for Arsenal has not gone unnoticed this month and his performances in September have led to him being nominated for Premier League player of the month.
The Gunners centre-back is one of eight candidates for the award after scoring two goals and helping David Raya keep three clean sheets in three games away from the Emirates.
Gabriel along with Saliba have become one of the most solid centre-back partnerships in the English elite, leading Mikel Arteta’s side to be along with Fulham one of the lowest conceding teams in the Premier League in the last six league games with 5 goals conceded.
The other contenders for the award are Chelsea’s Cole Palmer who scored five goals in four games, plus Luis Diaz and Ollie Watkins who both have four goals for Liverpool and Aston Villa respectively.
The Colombian striker’s team-mate Ryan Gravenberch is also in the running along with Newcastle’s Harvey Barnes, Everton’s Dwight McNeil and Fulham striker Raul Jimenez.
