Willy Kambwala, who clearly needed to leave Manchester United for more opportunities, joined La Liga side Villarreal on Monday.
The 19-year-old has decided to change his destination for next season after finding himself without opportunities at Old Trafford. The French centre-back knew he had to change clubs in search of playing time.
“Manchester United defender Willy Kambwala has agreed to join Villarreal on a permanent transfer, bringing to a close almost four years as a Red,” Manchester United wrote on their website.
Kambwala will play for La Liga side Villarreal, where Manchester City’s Rodri played for five seasons, until 2029. The Spanish side are delighted with the arrival of the centre-back and expect him to play a key role from next campaign onwards.
