French international Kylian Mbappe announced in a video posted on his social media profiles that he is leaving Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season. All eyes are on Madrid, as it looks like the Frenchman could be set to join the Santiago Bernabeu outfit.

The moment everyone has been waiting for has arrived. Mbappe, by his own mouth, told his followers on his social media profiles that he will leave PSG at the end of the season. The French international has only confirmed what was an open secret and has not said a word about his next club.

Hi everyone, It’s Kylian, I wanted to speak to you. I’ve always said that I would speak with you when the time comes and I wanted to announce to you It’s my last year at PSGI will not extend and the adventure will come to an end in a few weeks, I will play my last game at the Parc des Princes on Sunday.”

The France international sent a message to the Parisian fans to come to the stadium against Toulouse to say goodbye. Mbappe did not hide his emotion when talking about what the club have given him:

“It’s a lot of emotionsmany years where I had the chance and the great honor to be a member of the biggest french clubone of the best in the world which allowed me to arrive here, to have my first experience in a club with a lot of pressure, to grow as a player of course, by being alongside some of the best in history, some of the greatest champions, to meet a lot of people, to grow as a man as well, with all the glory and the mistakes I’ve made.”

I want to thank all the teammates that I had, all the coaches: Emery, Tuchel, Pochettino, Galtier and Luis Enrique. The sports directors Leonardo and Luis Campos, all the staff members at the club, those nobody see, the folks in the shadow either it’s the physios, the intendants, all the office staff members, the one at campus, everybody. They deserve to have this recognition,” added Mbappe.

The Bondy native made a final show of affection for PSG and its fans and also made it clear that he needs to start a new challenge in his career. “It’s hard and I never thought it would be this difficult to announce that, to leave my country France, the Ligue 1, a championship I have always known but I think I needed this, a new challenge, after seven years.”

It’s difficult of course there are some people I want to thank above all, there are the fans. I know I’m not the most demonstrative player. I haven’t always lived up to the love you all gave me for seven years but I never wanted to cheat, I have always wanted to be effectivePSG is a club that never leaves anyone indifferent. We can love it or hate it. It’s a club that I will keep in my memory my entire life. I will tell everybody, my whole life, that I had the chance to play here,” concluded the PSG star.

Mbappe did not find the net in either leg of the Dortmund tie but has scored 43 goals in all competitions this season, with 26 of those coming in Ligue 1. He will still hope to add to his club-record tally of 255 goals for PSG and win another medal in the French Cup final – Mbappe has so far won six Ligue 1 titlesthree French Cups and the now defunct League Cup twice in his seven years at his hometown team.

After Sunday’s gamePSG will complete their league campaign with away matches at Nice and at relegation-threatened Metz, before Mbappe wraps up his career with the club in that Cup final in Lille.
