The referees for some of the upcoming Champions League matches are now known. Francois Letexier will referee Madrid v Manchester City while Glenn Nyberg will be in charge of Arsenal v Bayern Munich.
French referee Francois Letexier will referee the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final between Real Madrid and Manchester City, which will be played next Tuesday at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.
Letexier, 34, refereed the Champions League group stage match between Real Madrid and Napoli on 29 November, which ended in a 4-2 win for the home side.
Tuesday’s match will be his fourth in this competition this season. In Madrid, he will be assisted by his compatriots Cyril Mugnier and Mehdi Rahmouni.
The other quarter-final between Arsenal and Bayern Munich on Tuesday will be refereed by Glenn Nyberg, assisted on the sidelines by Mahbod Beigi and Andreas Soderqvist.
Nyberg refereed the match between Bayern and Manchester United in the Champions League group stage. The match ended 4-3 to the German team.
