Vinicius Jr and Daniel Carvajal are not expected to return to action in the La Liga match against Atletico Madrid on Sunday. The Spanish giants will wait until Friday to make a decision on their returns.
Despite Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti not ruling out Vinicius Jr’s return for the clash against Atletico Madrid in La Liga, the Brazilian striker is unlikely to be available as is defender Daniel Carvajal.
While the striker continues training individually at the training complex, the Spaniard will undergo further medical tests on Friday to see how his recovery is progressing, according to ‘EFE’.
Lucas Vazquez took his place in the Champions League to continue the competitive rhythm that Real Madrid have been having in recent games.
The Italian coach will wait until Friday to make a decision on his starting lineup although both are not expected to perform in the Madrid derby. Vinicius Jr is recovering better than Carvajal but the Spanish side believe they could risk him if they decide he should play against Atletico Madrid.
