Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag ruled out Rasmus Hojlund, who was expected to make his Premier League debut, for Saturday’s game against Nottingham Forest.

Rasmus Hojlund, who joined Manchester United in the summer transfer window from Atalanta, was expected to make his Premier League debut on Saturday against Nottingham Forest.

Nonetheless, his coach Erik ten Hag confirmed that he will be unavailable at the pre-match press conference. The Danish striker has not yet been able to perform in a United shirt due to back issues.

“Not for tomorrow. Today for the first time he came into team training so next week I expect him to do a full week. He’s very near to making the squad,” he told reporters.

Moreover, the Dutch manager also spoke about the other injuries in the squad. Luke Shaw is likely to be out of action for several weeks due to a muscle injury while Mason Mount will be sidelined until after the international break.

Luke will be longer than Mason. It’ll also take a few weeks before Tyrell will be back. Definitely we have the solutions in our squad to cope with that. You hope to avoid this scenario but if it happens you have to be ready for it.”
