‘Daily Mail’ reported on Monday that Andre Onana’s move from Inter to United is at advanced stages, citing sources close to the Serie A goalkeeper. The negotiations are reportedly entering the final stages as the Cameroon keeper prepares to reunite with former Ajax manager Erik ten Hag.
Manchester United are reportedly closer than ever to agreeing a deal to sign Inter Milan goalkeeper, Andre Onana. The Cameroon international would replace David De Gea, who left the Red Devils after 12 seasons on Saturday.
‘Daily Mail’ reported on Monday that the talks are entering their final stages, according to sources close to the Champions League runner-up. It is believed the deal will fall in the region of £43 million (just over €50 million) plus add-ons.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that the agreement is expected to be sorted by Wednesday or Thursday, and that personal terms had been agreed last week.
The 27-year-old will be reunited with his former Ajax manager, Erik ten Hag, who is entering the preseason to his second season at Old Trafford. The Dutchman and his team could not agree a contract renewal with De Gea, leading the Spaniard to leave the club once his contract expired at the end of June, and putting United under pressure to sort out their replacement quickly.
