English clubs Fulham, Crystal Palace and even Manchester United are reportedly interested in Barcelona’s Sergino Dest. The right-back did not have a successful loan spell at Milan, and does not feature long-term for Xavi at Barca, meaning a move to the English top flight could be on the cards

It’s no secret Barcelona are looking to shed players from their wage bill and one of the names on the list is Sergino Dest. The right-back did not excel during his loan spell at AC Milan, and the Italians did not trigger the buy clause in the American’s contract.

He also does not feature in Xavi Hernandez’s long term plans, putting him on the list of potential sales this summer. According to ‘Mundo Deportivo’, the 22-year-old has been attracting attention in the Premier League and London outfits, Fulham and Crystal Palace are interested in the defender.

‘Daily Express’ have reported that Manchester United have also been watching the defender, and have maintained contact with Barcelona, after considering signing him last summer.

The Spanish outlet write that although Barca signed Dest for €21 million plus €5m in add-ons, English clubs could sign him for a fee in the region of £17 million (€19.8 million).
