PSG have officially announced the signing of midfielder Kang-In Lee. The South Korean international leaves Mallorca for a fee of €22 million, before bonuses.
Paris Saint-Germain have finally begun announcing their summer signings. Among them is youngster Kang-in Lee. The midfielder leaves Mallorca for Ligue 1 in exchange for a cheque for around €22 million, excluding bonuses.
The South Korean international has signed a five-year deal with the Parisian club. He is the Parisians’ fourth summer signing after Milan Skriniar, Marco Asensio and Manuel Ugarte, and the first South Korean to sign for the side.
After arriving in Valencia at the age of 10, he was trained in Spain and has only ever played in La Liga. He made his professional debut in 2018. At 17, he became the youngest foreign player to play professionally in the club’s history.
In 2021, he moved to the Mallorca. At the club, Kang-in Lee gradually became a key player, as evidenced by his six goals and seven assists in 37 league games last season.
“It’s incredible to be able to join Paris Saint-Germain, it’s one of the biggest clubs in the world, with some of the greatest players in the world”, said Lee Kang-In, “I can’t wait to start this new adventure.”
While he can help out on the left flank, the talented 22-year-old dribbler will be a welcome addition to Paris Saint-Germain’s already well-stocked midfield.
Paris Saint-Germain is pleased to announce the arrival of Lee Kang-In until 2028.
