Dominik Szoboszlai’s former manager Giovanni Costantino spoke about the Hungarian and his new adventure at Liverpool. The Italian said the playmaker “will have an impact” in the Premier League from the beginning.
Liverpool were in the market to refresh their midfield after a fifth-place finish in the Premier League last season saw them miss out on Champions League qualification for the first time in seven years.
Szoboszlai will further bolster the Reds midfield options after the arrival of Argentine World Cup winner Alexis Mac Allister last month.
His former coach Giovanni Costantino spoke about the playmaker’s potential and his progress in adapting to the Premier League. The Italian coach believes the Hungarian “will have an impact from the beginning”.
“Look, I don’t believe people who say ‘Dominik will need some time to adjust to the Premier League’. I think he will have an impact from the beginning,” he said.
“His mentality to take the number eight is a big responsibility and he’s not scared of responsibility so he just needs the support of the fans who are unbelievable. I’m sure the fans will like him from the beginning because he’s the kind of player that makes the fans happy with his play style.”
