Real Madrid are still interested in Kylian Mbappe despite his decision last season. The Spanish giants will try to sign him for the 2024-25 season, according to ‘Relevo’. Florentino Perez wants the Frenchman to join when his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires.
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez met with Jose Angel Sanchez and Carlo Ancelotti on Thursday and decided to try again to sign Kylian Mbappe. ‘Relevo’ reports that Los Blancos will resume negotiations for the Paris Saint-Germain star in next summer’s transfer window for the 2024-25 season.
Mbappe will be a free agent at the end of next campaign and the Spanish board want the 24-year-old to replace Karim Benzema, whose future at Madrid is uncertain.
The France international was not the only topic of the meeting as Perez discussed with his team the departures they will announce in the coming weeks as well as new transfers.
The striker denied several rumours of his departure from the French side after being awarded the prize for the best player in Ligue 1 for the fourth year in a row.
“There’s no more links about my future? I’m very happy here at PSG and with my choice to be part of this project. I will be here at PSG next season,” he confirmed.
